The Cloud Architect is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, building, and overseeing cloud infrastructure for healthcare clients. This position partners directly with client organizations, presents technical solutions, and mentors junior cloud engineers.

Special Factors:
- Position supports HIPAAregulated healthcare environments; compliance with all applicable security and privacy requirements is mandatory
- May participate in clientfacing presentations and presales demonstrations
- Design, deploy, and manage secure, highly available cloud infrastructure for healthcare clients leveraging AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and other leading providers
- Utilize cloud management and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM templates, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager
- Act as both technical lead and individual contributor, taking projects from conception through implementation and support
- Serve as a key escalation point for cloudrelated issues and mentor junior engineers
- Collaborate directly with client organizations, gathering requirements, presenting solutions, and ensuring a positive customer experience
- Participate in presales activities and solution demonstrations in partnership with sales and business development teams
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and templates to improve operational efficiency
- Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to security and compliance best practices, including HIPAA and HITRUST
- Document architecture, processes, and procedures for internal and client use
- Support hybrid and multicloud environments as client needs evolve
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects, as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- 35 years of handson experience designing and implementing cloud solutions using services from AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar platforms
- Demonstrated ability to design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM, or similar)
- Experience working directly with clients, including requirements gathering, solution presentation, and ongoing support
- Solid understanding of security and compliance best practices; healthcare HIPAA knowledge preferred
- Experience with hybrid or multicloud environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Strong documentation and process development skills
- Willingness and ability to mentor other engineers and act as an escalation point for complex issues
- Experience supporting presales and solution demonstration efforts preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of 57 years’ education and experience.
- Current / Active Professionallevel Cloud Solutions Architect certification is required. In lieu of this active certification, one must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment).
- Additional cloud or security certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional and AWS Security Specialty, HashiCorp Terraform Associate)
- No regular travel is required. Occasional travel (up to 10%) may occur for client engagements, training, or team events.
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs. as needed. Ability to participate in virtual meetings and presentations.
