Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Platform Architect – Developer Experience to define, architect, and deliver a best-in-class developer experience across the enterprise. This role will focus on enabling engineering teams to seamlessly consume platform capabilities through intuitive self-service workflows, standardized development practices, and scalable automation solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in platform engineering, cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD, and software architecture, with a passion for improving developer productivity and accelerating software delivery. You will play a critical role in shaping how developers onboard, build, test, deploy, and operate applications across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic vision for developer experience across enterprise engineering teams.
• Design and architect self-service developer platforms, workflows, and integration patterns that simplify software development and delivery.
• Develop scalable solutions for how engineering teams consume CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure services, automation frameworks, and platform capabilities.
• Partner with software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, security, and cloud teams to translate business and technical requirements into robust platform solutions.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from architecture and design through implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Design and implement reusable platform services, templates, APIs, automation frameworks, and reference architectures.
• Establish standards and best practices for developer onboarding, deployment automation, environment provisioning, and operational excellence.
• Drive platform adoption by providing technical leadership, guidance, and evangelism across engineering organizations.
• Enable engineering teams through workshops, technical documentation, enablement sessions, office hours, and hands-on support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify developer pain points and opportunities to improve productivity and delivery efficiency.
• Ensure platform solutions align with enterprise security, compliance, governance, and operational requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance developer experience capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Architecture, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale developer platforms and self-service engineering solutions.
• Strong understanding of developer experience (DevEx) principles, platform engineering, and software delivery lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience designing and consuming APIs, microservices, and developer enablement frameworks.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, DevSecOps, observability, and operational excellence.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence engineering teams and drive adoption of platform capabilities across large organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Platform Engineering and Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).
• Familiarity with Backstage or similar developer portal frameworks.
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and platform operations.
• Experience with service catalogs, golden paths, and self-service development platforms.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and modern engineering productivity tools.
• Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, or DevOps technologies.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments and digital transformation initiatives.
