DevOps and Cloud Engineer

The Role

• Support clients in developing and maintaining operational infrastructure (Git, GitOps, Kubernetes, Linux, Apache, Java web applications) and application operations on cloud platforms.
• Act as an all-rounder in a cross-functional team, developing features across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
• Actively participate in the entire development process, optimizing CI/CD pipelines based on GitLab CI, Kubernetes, and cloud services.
• Conduct code reviews and pair programming to enhance quality and distribute knowledge.
• Design and implement cloud strategies and architectures to ensure scalability and reliability of applications.
• Monitor and optimize the performance and security of client cloud environments.

What You'll Need

• Completed degree or comparable education in computer science.
• Experience in designing and implementing DevOps processes, ideally in agile software development projects.
• Practical experience with Linux, containers (OCI / Docker), CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins), Git, Ansible, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Ideally, knowledge in administering Java web applications and cloud services.
• Eagerness for agile work and continuous learning in new cloud technologies and trends.
• Excellent German language skills (at least C1 level).
