Senior DevOps Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Take full ownership of the Binary-Repository-Management-Service (JFrog Platform), ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance.

• Operate, maintain, and optimize a Kubernetes-based infrastructure, including highly available multi-node setups for business-critical services.

• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform/Tofu for reproducible, scalable, and auditable deployments.

• Build and evolve an efficient monitoring and observability setup using the Grafana toolchain (Prometheus, Loki, Alertmanager, Grafana), including metrics, dashboards, and alerting.

• Deeply integrate the Binary Repository into the CI/CD landscape (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins), optimizing repository structures, storage, and cleanup policies, while collaborating with Development, Security, and Platform teams on automation and reliability.

What You'll Need

• Several years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering, with proven responsibility for production Binary-Repository-Management-Systems in enterprise environments.

• A strong academic background in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable STEM field, ideally with excellent academic performance.

• Profound expertise in Kubernetes (preferably HA and multi-node setups), Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/Tofu, Linux administration, networking, and reverse proxies (e.g., Nginx, HAProxy, Traefik).

• Experience with monitoring/observability using the Grafana toolchain; experience with JFrog Platform, OpenStack, CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and scripting (Python, Bash, Go) is advantageous.

• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, for confident communication in an international, technically driven environment.

• A strong sense of ownership, structured and analytical working style, high service orientation, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and a proactive, solution- and automation-oriented mindset.
