Senior DevOps Engineer – C1/C2/Native German Speaking

Location: Munich/Rosenheim

Salary: €80,000 - €90,000 per annum

We're partnering with an innovative technology business that's building cutting-edge AI-powered products. As they continue to scale, they're looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in designing, automating and maintaining their cloud infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of Cloud, DevOps, AI and Machine Learning, helping to build secure, scalable platforms that support the next generation of intelligent applications.

What you'll be doing

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or TypeScript.
• Build, optimise and maintain CI/CD pipelines (ideally using GitLab CI/CD).
• Manage containerised applications using Docker.
• Support the deployment and operation of AI and machine learning workloads.
• Work closely with engineering teams to improve platform reliability, scalability and automation.
• Develop and maintain APIs, deployment processes and development tooling.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and deliver pragmatic, scalable solutions.
• Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years' experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, MLOps or a similar role.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (Open to other cloud providers)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or TypeScript).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Commercial experience with Docker and containerised deployments.
• Programming experience with Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash and/or PHP.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred).
• Understanding of REST APIs, OpenAPI and SDK deployment.
• Ability to work independently, solve complex technical challenges and take ownership of projects.
• An interest in AI, Machine Learning and Computer Vision technologies.
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English.

Desirable skills

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or CheckMK.
• Knowledge of GitOps practices and tooling.
• Previous experience helping build or scale DevOps functions.
• Understanding of infrastructure security and compliance, including GDPR.
• Experience working within fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
