This role drives, commercial growth and expansion, operational excellence and customer retention while ensuring full compliance, safety, and a strong market reputation. The position has end-to-end ownership of logistics operations, including distribution centres, transport management, and business development, and is responsible for delivering both annual performance targets and long-term strategic objectives.
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Own and deliver the country’s annual operating plan and strategic roadmap
- Hold full P&L responsibility for country’s contract logistics business, including operating and capital budgets
- Drive sustainable, profitable growth through operational excellence, cost optimization, and productivity improvement
- Enhance labor productivity, asset utilization, and warehouse efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead capital and investment planning including new facilities, automation, and technology adoption
- Establish robust implementation frameworks to ensure new account onboarding is delivered on time, within budget, and without service disruption
- Evaluate, and execute mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships to accelerate growth
- Strategic influence on country-level growth and regional logistics strategy
- Define and execute country-level commercial strategy to grow market share across industries and geographies
- Drive business development pipeline, customer acquisition, and conversion of strategic opportunities
- Ensure high customer retention through high consistent delivery of operational excellence and strong relationship management
- Expand existing accounts through value-added solutions, innovation, and scope enhancement
- Build and maintain deep, multi-level relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Labor planning and productivity
- Space and asset utilization
- Process optimization and standardization
- Ensure seamless and high-quality implementation of new contracts and solutions
- Partner with IT to deploy scalable WMS and digital solutions that enhance operational performance
- Build and lead a high-performing leadership team across operations and commercial functions
- Develop strong talent pipelines and succession plans across management levels
- Foster a culture of performance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Coach and develop senior leaders to deliver business and operational excellence
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and safety requirements
- Champion Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards across all operations
- Represent the organization externally to strengthen industry presence and brand reputation
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and corporate governance
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred)
- 10 to 15 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Expertise in warehouse operations, transport management, and supply chain solutions
- Proven leadership experience managing large-scale, multi-site operations
- Strong track record of P&L ownership, business growth, and operational transformation
- Experience in multinational or matrix organizations is preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Proven leadership capability in managing large, diverse teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong negotiation and business development capability
