The External Manufacturing (ExM) Governance & Digitalization Lead will build and run the ExM governance operating system and accelerate digital enablement across the global CMO/CDMO network. The role is a cornerstone of the ExM Business Operations capability—owning the strategic roadmap control tower, standardizing ways of working across ExM, and digitalizing relationships with CMOs.
Key Responsibilities
- Governance Operating System
- Design and implement governance cadence, decision rights, and KPI framework
- Establish escalation and action tracking processes
- Ensure consistency and transparency in performance management
- Standardization of Ways of Working
- Develop and deploy standard work, templates, and playbooks
- Harmonize practices across ExM verticals and functions
- Drive adoption through change management and training
- Digitalization of CMO Relationships
- Define digital strategy aligned with CMO segmentation
- Enable dashboards, shared workflows, and data visibility
- Partner with IT to implement secure collaboration tools
- Strategic Roadmap & Control Tower
- Own transformation roadmap governance and reporting
- Provide insights for prioritization and decision-making
- Ensure alignment across functions and initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field
- 8–12+ years in pharma/biotech operations or external manufacturing
- Strong experience in governance design and digital transformation
