General Manager, Korea

A global industrial technology company is seeking a General Manager, Korea to lead its local commercial and service operations and drive profitable growth in one of its key Asian markets.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished executive with strong commercial acumen, customer focus, and the ability to translate regional strategy into local execution. The successful candidate will lead the Korea business across Sales, Marketing, and Service, with full accountability for performance, operational excellence, and market development.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the regional leadership team, the General Manager will be responsible for leading the Korea operation, executing local growth strategies, and ensuring strong alignment with broader regional and global priorities. This role combines strategic leadership, business development, operational management, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Korea operation across Sales, Marketing, and Service
• Drive above-market, profitable growth and hold accountability for top-line performance and local profitability
• Implement regional and business platform strategies locally, including short- and long-term sales plans
• Identify market trends, customer requirements, and new business opportunities
• Work closely with commercial and service teams to uncover new applications and shape demand for new products, systems, and solutions
• Manage and develop customer relationships and channel partners to strengthen market presence
• Translate business goals into clear targets and KPIs across the local organization and ensure execution against them
• Ensure effective information flow between the Korea organization, regional leadership, and global stakeholders to support strategy development and execution
• Lead the business in line with established operating systems, performance frameworks, and cost targets
• Provide regular performance updates to regional leadership, proactively highlighting risks, deviations, and improvement actions
• Foster a high-performance culture that inspires teams to act proactively and capture growth opportunities
• Ensure strong alignment, collaboration, and communication across all local teams and support functions
