Chief Business Development Officer

BHcare is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Chief Business Development Officer to join our executive leadership team. This executive-level role will support BHcare’s continued growth by advancing strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, strengthening community relationships, and supporting long-term organizational sustainability.

The Chief Business Development Officer will provide leadership for business development, strategic growth, development, marketing, communications, grants, and community engagement, working closely with the President/CEO, executive leadership, and external partners to move approved strategies from concept to implementation.

This position is open only to candidates who permanently reside in Connecticut. Relocation is not offered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic growth and business development initiatives aligned with BHcare’s mission and long-term goals.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for service expansion, partnerships, affiliations, and revenue diversification.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders, community partners, healthcare providers, referral sources, and other key stakeholders.
• Provide strategic direction for development, marketing, communications, grants, and community engagement.
• Partner with leadership to assess market opportunities, develop business plans, and implement approved initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, public health, marketing, communications, or related field required; master's degree preferred.
• Experience in leading business development, strategic partnerships, organizational growth, fundraising, marketing, communications, or related functions required; nonprofit or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and cultivate strong relationships with executive leaders, funders, community partners, and other key stakeholders.
