Job Purpose: As the Manager International & Government Relations - China, you will lead the Esports Foundation’s engagement with key international stakeholders, with a particular focus on China. You will act as the primary liaison for Chinese partners, institutions, and government representatives, ensuring culturally informed, strategic collaboration aligned with EF’s objectives and Saudi governmental priorities.
You will support the development and execution of market-specific engagement strategies, enable high-impact partnerships, and facilitate diplomatic interactions across public and private sector stakeholders.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and manage relationships with Chinese stakeholders, including publishers, partners, and institutional entities
- Act as a key liaison with Chinese government representatives and regulatory bodies
- Navigate cultural, political, and business dynamics to enable effective collaboration and trust-building
- Support partnership structuring, stakeholder mapping, and engagement strategies specific to China
- Provide internal guidance on the China market dynamics, risks, and opportunities
- Facilitate high-level delegations, official visits, and bilateral engagements
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with international stakeholders, with a priority on China
- Lead the development of partnerships and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) aligned with EF objectives
- Facilitate high-level meetings with government entities and strategic partners
- Ensure effective communication across languages and cultural contexts
- Monitor and drive the execution of joint initiatives with partners to ensure impact
- Support the development and execution of EF’s international engagement strategy
- Contribute to defining operating models, governance, and coordination mechanisms across stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to expand EF’s global footprint through strategic collaborations
- Align international initiatives with Saudi national priorities and broader diplomatic objectives
- Represent EF in international forums, industry events, and stakeholder engagements
- Support alignment of messaging with government priorities in collaboration with Media & PR teams
- Promote esports as a strategic platform for economic, technological, and cultural collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in international relations, government affairs, partnerships, or similar roles
- Proven experience working with Chinese stakeholders or within the China market
- Experience engaging with government entities or regulatory bodies
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese/Mandarin (spoken and written) is required
- Strong understanding of Chinese business culture, regulatory environment, and stakeholder landscape
- Proven ability to manage high-level stakeholder relationships across public and private sectors
- Strong negotiation, diplomacy, and influencing skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience working in complex, international, and cross-cultural environments
- Exposure to esports, gaming, or technology sectors is a plus
