We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial direction of the organization. This executive will oversee core financial operations, provide strategic guidance to senior leadership and the Board, and help strengthen long-term fiscal sustainability. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in budgeting, reporting, compliance, and financial stewardship.
Responsibilities:
• Shape and execute the organization’s financial strategy in alignment with operational goals and long-range plans.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, and full-cycle accounting activities to support sound financial decision-making.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, management reports, and other key analyses for leadership and the Board.
• Ensure compliance with grant, contract, and regulatory requirements while maintaining strong internal financial controls.
• Lead cash flow planning, treasury oversight, and payroll processes to preserve financial stability and operational continuity.
• Manage annual audits and coordinate with external auditors to support timely and accurate review processes.
• Identify financial risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and strengthen policies that protect organizational assets.
• Supervise and develop the finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high-quality performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a master’s degree is preferred.
• CPA required
• At least 7 years of progressive finance experience, including senior-level leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial forecasting, payroll, and full-cycle accounting.
• Strong background in financial reporting, analysis, and presentation of results to executive stakeholders or a board.
• Experience managing grant and contract compliance within a regulated or mission-focused organization.
• Proven ability to lead audits, maintain internal controls, and support regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and team leadership capabilities.
