We’re on a mission to make healthcare simple.
HealthJoy is a growth-stage, enterprise-focused healthtech company helping 1,500+ employers and their benefits partners make healthcare easier to navigate. With healthy funding, a proven platform, and the runway to invest in our next chapter, we’re building what comes next.
We’re looking for a high-ownership product leader and builder to take strategic bets from idea to launch.
This is a true 0→1 role. Ambiguity is the job. You’ll start as a team of one with significant autonomy. Your job is to identify and validate high-potential opportunities, talk to customers, prototype quickly, leverage AI, understand the economics, make smart product and technical tradeoffs, and launch something real.
You’ll own the journey from customer insight → prototype → product → launch → iteration, and if you find something that works, you’ll build the team and business around it.
- Experience taking a product, business, or initiative from 0→1 through launch.
- Deep customer obsession: you instinctively start with the customer, spend time understanding their problems firsthand, and are relentless about building something they truly need.
- Genuinely, innately curious: You have an innate drive to learn, ask questions, understand problems deeply, and explore what's possible.
- Strong product judgment and ability to translate customer insights into action.
- Demonstrated ability to prototype and iterate quickly, ideally using AI in partnership with other tools.
- Strong understanding of business fundamentals and unit economics.
- Ability to make thoughtful technical, product, and business tradeoffs to move quickly.
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on IC initially, with the desire and ability to build and lead a team over time.
We’d be excited by candidates from high-growth startups, strategy consulting, fintech, healthtech, PEOs, or AI-native companies, particularly those who have built new products, launched new businesses, or operated in highly ambiguous environments.
Ideally, you've operated in New York or San Francisco.
- Is a product-minded operator who can move seamlessly between strategy and execution.
- Is highly fluent in AI and rapid prototyping and uses them to move faster.
- Has high ownership, low ego, and a bias toward action.
- Is energized by ambiguity and comfortable figuring out the path as they go.
You need a defined roadmap, established processes, or a large team to get started. You prefer strategy over execution, aren't comfortable with ambiguity, or want a narrow scope.
This isn't a role where you'll be handed the problem. You'll be responsible for figuring out what's worth building and building it.
