The Role


  • Leads, coordinates and manages governance, delivery and continuous improvement of the Mental Awareness, Respect and Safety program.
  • Participates in and advises on investigative and research requirements, development and processes.
  • Develops mechanisms to monitor, evaluate and report on the achievement of project objectives within approved project plans and determined timeframes.
  • Coordinates grants, contracts and collaborative arrangements with the Mental Health Commission, other government agencies, universities and other relevant organisations.
  • Presents project plans, strategy proposals and governance and performance reports to the MARS Steering Committee.
  • Provides strategic project management advice to the department in support of the development and implementation of the MARS program.
  • Provides strategic advice to management and stakeholders, on program delivery, governance and risk.
  • Plans, establishs and coordinates the development of a project plan, resource plan and budget for the implementation of the MARS Program.
  • Ensures strategies proposed and implemented are compliant and aligned with the corporate and project governance framework of the department and relevant programs and initiatives.
