Chief Transformation Officer (Fixed-Term Executive Appointment)
Lead enterprise-wide transformation. Deliver lasting change. Leave a legacy.
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an accomplished executive to lead a significant transformation program within a leading Australian organisation delivering critical services across highly regulated industries.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director & CEO, this executive appointment has a clear mandate to design, lead and deliver a strategic transformation program that will position the business for its next phase of growth.
This is not a traditional operational leadership role. It is a purpose-built executive engagement focused on delivering measurable change before transitioning the organisation into a stronger, more sustainable operating model.
The Opportunity
As Chief Transformation Officer, you will lead a broad enterprise-wide transformation encompassing business integration, operating model redesign, organisational effectiveness, financial and operational performance improvement, governance uplift and reporting capability.
Working alongside the executive leadership team, you will establish the transformation roadmap, drive execution and ensure initiatives are embedded to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
Success will be measured not by activity but by tangible business benefits, operational improvements and the strength of the organisation when the transformation concludes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation strategy aligned to the organisation's strategic objectives.
- Lead complex business integration activities across multiple operating entities.
- Redesign operating models to improve organisational effectiveness, accountability and performance.
- Deliver measurable cost optimisation, productivity improvements and cash performance initiatives.
- Establish robust governance frameworks, program management disciplines and benefits realisation processes.
- Partner closely with the MD, CEO, COO, CFO and Executive Leadership Team to drive enterprise-wide change.
- Enhance management reporting, data capability and decision-making frameworks to support future strategic growth.
- Lead enterprise change management, ensuring stakeholder engagement and successful adoption across the business.
- Build internal capability, document new operating models and ensure a seamless transition into business-as-usual at program completion.
About You
You are an experienced executive with a proven ability to lead large-scale transformation programs within complex organisations.
You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and are recognised for your ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.
You will bring:
- A successful track record leading enterprise transformation, business integration or large-scale organisational change.
- Experience operating across finance, operations and commercial functions.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial insights into strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated success delivering sustainable business improvements, not simply implementing projects.
- Experience establishing governance, reporting and performance frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- High levels of resilience, emotional intelligence and credibility within executive environments.
- Professional qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline, with CA or CPA qualifications highly regarded.
Why This Opportunity?
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a complex organisation during a critical stage of its evolution.
You will work directly with an engaged Executive Leadership Team, influence enterprise-wide decision-making, and deliver a transformation program that creates lasting value across the business.
If you are an accomplished transformation executive who thrives on delivering measurable business outcomes and leaving organisations stronger than you found them, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
