People, Culture & Organization
Indexed description
👋 We are Kilter, and we’re on a mission to transform sustainable agriculture and food production by harnessing the power of technology. With a growing population and a diet increasingly shifting towards plant-based foods, innovative solutions are required. We need to grow more food on less land while protecting nature and the environment.
Kilter develops groundbreaking technology that addresses major challenges for farmers in a sustainable way. Our fully automated agricultural robot, Kilter AX-1, represents a paradigm shift in weed control. Using advanced AI and patented nozzle technology, AX-1 precisely targets weeds without harming crops or soil. This reduces herbicide use by up to 95% and increases crop yield by up to 35%.
🌱 About the role
As a member of the management team, you will play a key role in shaping the company’s direction, culture, and future growth. You will act as a strategic sparring partner to managers on all people-related matters, while building and developing scalable HR processes that enable the organization to grow, evolve, and succeed.
Today the people-related responsibility is managed alongside recruitment and day-today operational needs. As we continue to grow, we need to strengthen our foundations to support managers, developing employees and greater clarity and consistency across our teams.
🧩 What you’ll do
- Own and manage the employee lifecycle from the recruitment process, onboarding, employee development and support, and offboarding
- Develop and implement the HR strategy aligned with the company's growth ambitions
- Ensure compliance with the employment law, health and safety requirements, and relevant regulations
- Lead the development of policies, procedures, and employee handbook
- Contribute to build, nurture and maintain a strong organisational culture
- Advising manager on complex HR matter
- Support organizational change and workforce planning
🙌 We think you will thrive with us if
You are motivated by building something meaningful, alongside competent, diverse colleagues who bring different perspectives to the table. You enjoy being close to the business, not just advising from distance, but rolling up your sleeves and making things happen.
You are energised by an environment that is still taking shape, and you see that as an opportunity to leave your mark. Ambiguity doesn't slow you down, it fuels you. And you are just as comfortable in a conversation with a founder or investor as you are welcoming a new hire on their first day.
🎯We are looking for someone who most likely:
- Brings a broad HR experience and has navigated the full spectrum, both the good days and the hard ones
- Works independently and takes ownership, and gets things done
- Might have experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment or the consulting environment, and knows what it takes to build structure while everything is moving
- Combines strategic thinking with a strong ability to execute in the day-to-day
- Is a trusted advisor to managers, direct, empathetic, and comfortable in difficult conversations
- Has solid knowledge of employment law and keeps up with regulatory changes
We believe diverse teams make better decisions, and we are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone can do their best work. We therefore encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. What matters the most to us is your experience, your judgement, and how you work with people.
🌟Why should you choose Kilter?
At Kilter, you will be part of an innovative and rapidly growing startup with global ambitions. You’ll work in a flat, open, and inclusive environment, surrounded by engaged and talented colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds. Working styles vary across the team, but we all share a passion for delivering solutions that promote sustainable food production.
We give our people the opportunity to grow and take ownership of their work. As the company expands, you will have room to shape both your role and your skills. Our headquarters are in Langhus, Nordre Follo, with parking and charging facilities for electric cars. We offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to participate in the company’s options program.
If you want to make a meaningful impact on the products you work on, thrive in a collaborative environment alongside technical and creative colleagues, and enjoy moving quickly toward robust solutions while testing and refining ideas along the way, we would like to hear from you.
