Indexed description
This role focuses on driving strategic execution, managing the desk’s operating rhythm, and strengthening team culture and cross-functional coordination. You will apply structured problem-solving to complex business challenges, lead high-priority initiatives, and represent the desk across internal and external stakeholders. The position provides meaningful ownership and broad organizational impact from day one. Compensation is competitive and aligned with individual contribution.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner to the Desk Head, driving the desk’s highest-priority initiatives and ensuring alignment across trading, technology, risk, and business support teams.
- Apply structured problem-solving to evaluate opportunities, assess risks, and drive data-informed solutions in close collaboration with desk and firm leadership.
- Lead or contribute to high-priority projects such as product expansions, business planning cycles, and operational improvement programs.
- Own goal tracking and milestones, ensuring communication processes are completed as goals are achieved or priorities shift.
- Build and apply substantive knowledge of market structure, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments to shape the desk’s strategic priorities.
- Own the operating rhythm of the desk — meetings, goal tracking, and cross-functional workstreams — and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication, and scalability.
- Represent desk leadership within and outside of the team through high-quality communication.
- 5+ years of experience in roles requiring strong stakeholder management, cross-functional execution, and structured problem-solving.
- Management consulting experience at a top-tier firm.
- Strong STEM background strongly preferred (Physics, Math, Econometrics, or equivalent).
- Corporate strategy or operational experience at a financial services or technology firm is a plus.
- Exceptionally high emotional intelligence: self-aware, adaptable, and effective at building trust and navigating complex interpersonal dynamics across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and deliver results in unstructured and ambiguous environments.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling narratives and tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Equities or broader financial markets experience is a plus but not a prerequisite — intellectual curiosity and the ability to ramp up quickly matter more.
