Director, Planning and Strategy (remote)

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise communication strategies that support business objectives, drive organizational alignment, and enhance the employee experience
- Serve as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders, translating business priorities into clear, compelling, and actionable messaging
- Lead the planning and delivery of integrated communication campaigns and initiatives across multiple channels, audiences, and stakeholder groups
- Create consistent and effective content and messaging
- Create executive communication materials, including presentations, speeches, talking points, videos, leadership messages, and organizational updates
- Partner across teams, functions and businesses to ensure coordinated, enterprise-wide messaging
- Define success metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, leveraging feedback, engagement data, and business outcomes to continuously improve results
- Lead complex and high-visibility communications efforts, exercising sound judgment and influence in dynamic and evolving business environments
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years as a leader in operations leadership or communications
- Experience delivering actionable recommendations to senior leaders in healthcare or operations environments
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to lead complex, high-impact initiatives across multiple departments or business units
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy
