The Executive Manager position will be responsible for providing high-level strategic advice, support, planning and expert knowledge to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and works across VFMC’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
This role will serve as a liaison between people, senior leaders and the CEO, and work closely with the ELT in collective decision making, implementing initiatives and strategies, managing programs and preparing communications.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide strategic guidance, advice and recommendations to the CEO
- Assist the CEO in decision-making processes and act as a strategic advisor
- Manage preparation and responses for the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee
- Establish and develop key government relationships
- Manage inquiries into the office of the CEO and assist in preparing a response and broader communications
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to shape business strategies, offering consultation for continuous improvement
- Create high-quality materials for presentations, panels, and publications
- Draft responses to interviews, panels and speeches
- Design and Develop Board and ELT Strategy Days
- Work with the EA and the CEO to coordinate interstate and international travel, including developing a tailored travel itinerary and identifying and researching key stakeholders and organisations to facilitate introductions during travel.
- Schedule meetings with external parties and prepare final briefing materials.

- Degree in Business Management and/or MBA
- 10+ years’ experience working in business management
- Previous experience working in, and deep knowledge of the financial services sector (ideally within investment management)
- Experience in a similar role in a corporate environment (ideally financial services, investment management, or superannuation)
- Prior government experience is highly desirable
