About The Opportunity
A leading global company operating within a highly regulated and technology-driven industry is seeking an exceptional Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to join its executive leadership team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence corporate direction at the highest level by combining strategic leadership, quantitative analysis, business portfolio management, and executive decision support. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping long-term growth, evaluating strategic investments, and driving enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term corporate strategy and growth initiatives.
- Conduct market, competitive, regulatory, and technology analyses to inform strategic planning.
- Build and evaluate strategic scenarios using quantitative and financial models.
- Design executive KPI frameworks and business performance monitoring systems.
- Lead portfolio strategy, resource allocation, and new business evaluations.
- Assess investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, and M&A initiatives.
- Support due diligence, transaction analysis, and post-merger integration planning.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives involving business, technology, finance, and legal teams.
- Promote data-driven decision-making and analytical excellence across the organization.
- Advanced Japanese communication skills.
- Degree or strong academic background in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Strategy Consulting
- Investment Banking
- Private Equity / Venture Capital
- Corporate Strategy Leadership
- Expertise in business analysis, financial modeling, strategic planning, and executive decision support.
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership through analytical insights and structured recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Experience applying Data Science, Statistics, or Machine Learning to business strategy.
- Experience within Financial Services, FinTech, Blockchain, or regulated industries.
- IPO readiness and capital market experience.
- International business strategy and global expansion experience.
- Executive-level English proficiency.
- Strategic and analytical leadership.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making ability.
