Job Scope


Vice President, Organization Development is responsible for designing and driving the organization effectiveness agenda to ensure the business has the right structure, workforce, capabilities, culture, and operating model to deliver its strategic objectives.


The role leads enterprise-wide initiatives covering strategic workforce planning, organization design, transformation, operating model effectiveness, culture evolution, change management, productivity improvement, and people-related integration projects. The incumbent serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on organization and workforce matters and plays a key role in shaping the future state of the organization.


Main Responsibility


Strategic Workforce Planning

  • Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP).
  • Assess future workforce requirements, capability needs, and talent risks. Consider enablement with digital tools and other developments that may impact future work models.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify critical roles and workforce gaps.
  • Develop workforce scenarios and strategies to support business growth and transformation.
  • Establish workforce planning governance, metrics, and reporting.


Organization Design & Effectiveness

  • Design and review organizational structures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Conduct span of control, organizational layer, productivity and role clarity assessments.
  • Identify and lead opportunities for productivity improvements, process simplification, organization restructuring and workforce optimization initiatives.
  • Develop principles, frameworks and governance for organization design decisions.
  • Drive operating model improvements across functions and business units.
  • Develop and lead implementation of organizational operating models


Transformation & Change Management

  • Lead and support people-related transformation initiatives and enterprise change programs.
  • Develop change management strategies, stakeholder engagement plans and communication approaches.
  • Ensure successful adoption of organizational changes.
  • Build organizational change management capability among leaders and managers.
  • Monitor transformation outcomes and benefits realization.


Culture & Organizational Health

  • Assess organizational health and culture effectiveness.
  • Design interventions to strengthen accountability, collaboration, innovation, and performance culture.
  • Partner with Talent Management and HRBP teams to drive culture priorities.
  • Support leadership alignment during periods of significant change.


Organization Analytics & Insights

  • Develop organization effectiveness dashboards and workforce analytics.
  • Analyze workforce trends, productivity metrics, organizational costs, and structural effectiveness.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to EXCO, Board Committees and senior leadership.
  • Build data-driven recommendations to support strategic decisions.


Governance & Strategic Projects


  • Lead special projects assigned by the CPOO and Executive Committee.
  • Prepare Board papers, management papers, and business cases related to people and organization matters.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, governance and risk management requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination for strategic initiatives.


Qualification and Experience Requirement


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior or related disciplines.
  • Master's Degree or MBA preferred.


Experience

  • 10-15 years of HR and organizational development experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in organization development, strategy, management consulting, workforce planning, transformation or organization design roles.
  • Experience driving enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams and Boards.
  • Financial services experience preferred.
