Head, Branch Transformation

Job Purpose Summary

Drive strategic and tactical excellence across Branch Operations, Support, Operations, and Branch Accounting. Focus on automation, cost management, risk mitigation, and customer experience to align with a leading financial institution's goals. This role will champion the modern "phygital" branch transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

• Branch Network & Phygital Transformation: Design and execute a multi-format physical network strategy. Transform traditional, high-cost footprints into lean, automated "phygital" hubs and flexible, non-cash service centers to optimize community engagement and operational agility.
• Operational Efficiency & Automation: Lead process simplification and leverage tech (RPA, AI, digitalization) to automate manual tasks, cut OPEX, and accelerate service delivery.
• Risk & Compliance: Maintain robust compliance frameworks, adhering strictly to AML, regulatory guidelines, and internal controls. Manage branch physical security (CCTV/CMS) and routine regulatory reporting.
• Financial Control: Oversee cash management practices, optimize branch cash flow, and manage centralized GL reconciliations and vendor payments.
• Project & System Management: Review Scopes of Work for Core projects and verify deliverables via end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• People Leadership: Set clear targets, manage capacity, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.

Requirements & Selection Factors

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Core Experience: Minimum 10 years in a relevant field, including 8 years in comprehensive branch operations and 10 years in Head Office managerial.
• Transformation Benchmark (Key Factor): A proven track record in branch optimization, transformation, customer-journey design, and managing the ROI/P&L of localized modernization strategies.
