Senior Software Engineer - Collaborations (Central/South America)

Key Responsibilities:

• Feature Maintenance: Maintain and enhance the existing collaborations feature, addressing technical debt and improving code quality.

• Bug Fixing: Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the collaborations feature.

• Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

• Collaboration: Work closely with our onshore team, including engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and systems to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and ensure the team’s continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on maintaining and enhancing complex systems.

• Frontend Skills: Strong proficiency in Angular for frontend development. Experience with other frontend frameworks is a plus.

• Backend Skills: Proficiency in Python and Django for backend development preferred, but not required.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Timezone Alignment: Availability to work within the Eastern Time Zone +/- 3 hours to ensure effective collaboration with our onshore team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical Debt Management: Proven experience in managing and reducing technical debt in legacy systems.

• Full-Stack Development: Experience with full-stack development, including frontend, backend, and database management.

• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

• Healthcare Industry Experience: Prior experience in the healthcare industry or working on healthcare-related projects.
