Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement business strategies to grow the portfolio company’s presence in it’s vertical market.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities (e.g., target segments, geographies, partnerships).
- Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) tied to revenue, user growth, customer satisfaction, retention, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including product deployment, customer onboarding, support, compliance, and client fulfillment.
- Ensure high standards of service delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to regulatory requirements relevant to the vertical market.
- Manage resource allocation — staffing, budgets, workflows — to optimize efficiency and scalability.
- Build, lead, guide and mentor cross-functional teams (sales, customer success, product support, operations, possibly development).
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, customer focus, and collaboration.
- Evaluate, attract, retain, and develop talent.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience, from onboarding through ongoing use and support.
- Maintain relationships with key clients and act as escalation point for strategic or critical issues.
- Drive customer retention and satisfaction, while seeking opportunities for upselling or expansion of services.
- Own the company’s profit & loss (P&L), budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, margins; maximize operational efficiency and profitability while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Maintain positive cash flow and practice disciplined cash management to provide capital allocation opportunities
- Work closely with product teams (or external vendors) to ensure the portfolio company solution(s) remain competitive, relevant, and aligned with changing regulations and customer needs.
- Provide feedback from clients and relevant market participants to influence product enhancements, new module development, or service refinements.
- Ensure the portfolio company’s service delivery aligns with relevant regulations and standards in staffing, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Proven experience as a General Manager, or in a senior executive leadership role preferably in SaaS/software, or healthcare information technology.
- Strong understanding of software development, technology trends, and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through direct sales, strategic channel relationships and other business development to achieve financial targets.
- A seasoned business leader and a visionary with proven track record coaching others to deliver on corporate goals
- Ability to articulate broad strategic objectives
- Outstanding strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
- Experience in, and understanding of, the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate as a leader, influencing and encouraging others
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
