General Manager – Multi-Division (Warehouse Storage & Automation Installation)

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (based in-market, full-time)

Compensation: $180,000–$200,000 base + bonus potential

The Opportunity

A fast-growing, private equity-backed leader in material handling equipment installation — pallet racking, dock & door, automation, and specialty warehouse systems — is hiring a General Manager to lead three of its divisions with a combined P&L of roughly $25M. Following a recent large acquisition, the company needs this leader based full-time in the Dallas–Fort Worth market to integrate and lead the charge on the ground.

What You'll Do

  • Own the P&L for three divisions (~$25M combined), spanning both sales and operations
  • Lead the post-acquisition integration and growth push in the DFW market
  • Drive new revenue: help sales teams quote and win installation work, get in front of customers, and sell when needed
  • Lead operations managers, project coordinators, and multiple field installation crews across several states
  • Tighten processes, reduce field turnover, build technician pipelines, and decide when to add crews and equipment
  • Travel to customers, job sites, and crews — heavier in the first year as you build relationships across the footprint
  • Set the multi-year growth plan and execute it, with meaningful upside tied to results

What Success Looks Like

  • Divisions integrated and running on consistent operating rhythms
  • Measurable new revenue growth against a clear doubling target over the next several years
  • Stable, well-led field teams with lower turnover and a bench of future foremen and technicians
  • Customers who see one accountable leader across every division that touches their warehouse

What We're Looking For

  • Proven people-management experience — you've led leaders and field teams, not just projects
  • Industry background: dock & door, material handling equipment, warehouse automation/systems, or industrial/commercial construction (GC or subcontractor)
  • Multi-site or multi-crew operations leadership; P&L ownership strongly preferred
  • A utility player: strong operationally, comfortable putting on the sales hat, and at ease in the field with crews and customers — not a behind-the-desk-only leader
  • Independent operator who can run a business unit without hand-holding
  • Based in (or willing to relocate to) the Dallas–Fort Worth metro

Compensation & Benefits

  • $180K–$200K base salary, depending on experience
  • Bonus potential tied to division growth and performance
  • Full benefits package
  • Backed by private equity with strong growth investment — significant room for expanded responsibility as the company scales
