This leader will serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership while building scalable planning processes, systems, and organizational capabilities that support continued growth.
Responsibilities
**Strategic Leadership**
- Develop and execute the company's global demand and supply planning strategy aligned with business growth and international expansion.
- Establish scalable planning processes, governance, organizational structure, and operating models.
- Connect commercial forecasts to production, procurement, inventory, and capacity planning.
- Provide executive recommendations regarding service levels, inventory, working capital, capacity, and supply risks.
- Partner closely with the SVP, Supply Chain to align production priorities and operational execution.
- Lead the global Sales & Operations Planning process across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Operations, and Supply Chain.
- Develop short-, mid-, and long-range forecasts using historical trends, market intelligence, customer demand, POS data, and commercial inputs.
- Improve forecast accuracy, planning methodologies, and demand sensing.
- Identify demand and supply risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead scenario planning.
- Translate forecasts into executable production, procurement, and inventory plans.
- Lead global supply planning across contract manufacturers, suppliers, and production partners.
- Develop capacity plans supporting future growth while managing supplier capabilities and production constraints.
- Oversee planning for new product launches, production transitions, and end-of-life inventory strategies.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, and Procurement to ensure successful commercialization and supply continuity.
- Identify and mitigate supply risks including lead times, tariffs, geopolitical issues, transportation, and supplier concentration.
- Establish global inventory strategies, targets, and stocking levels across products, regions, and channels.
- Balance customer service expectations with inventory optimization and working capital objectives.
- Manage excess, obsolete, and aging inventory while partnering with Finance on inventory valuation and cost impacts.
- Provide executive visibility into inventory health, turns, and operational performance.
- Improve planning processes utilizing ERP/MRP platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Integrate planning data from retail, eCommerce, POS, and EDI platforms.
- Develop executive dashboards and KPIs including forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, fill rate, service levels, capacity utilization, and working capital.
- Establish planning standards, data governance, and scalable reporting capabilities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global planning organization.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, and Supply Chain.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, contract manufacturers, logistics providers, and regional teams.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- APICS/ASCM, CPIM, CSCP, IBF CPF, or similar certifications preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, supply planning, Sales and Operations Planning, inventory management, and global supply chain leadership.
- Experience leading planning organizations across multiple countries, facilities, suppliers, and distribution channels.
- Demonstrated success building scalable global planning functions.
- Proven experience translating forecasts into production and procurement plans.
- Experience supporting new product launches and production transitions.
- Experience utilizing retailer POS, sell-through, or EDI data to improve forecasting.
- Strong ERP/MRP experience including NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of planning systems, business intelligence tools, and forecasting methodologies.
- Strong understanding of inventory optimization, forecast accuracy, OTIF, and working capital metrics.
- Understanding of global trade, transportation, and international supply chain operations.
- Strategic, analytical, and highly collaborative leader.
- Strong executive communication and influence skills.
- Comfortable balancing strategic planning with operational execution.
- Proven success leading geographically distributed teams in high-growth environments.
- Passion for continuous improvement and organizational development.
