Chief of Staff (Finance) | London (hybrid working, 2 days in the office) | £Competitive | Permanent | Consumer Industry (Sports) | £60,000-£85,000 + bonus


JasperRose is partnering with a well-known consumer business operating in the sports industry that are looking to hire a Chief of Staff on a permanent basis. Based in their London Head Office (2 days in the office), this is a newly created role due to significant growth within the group, following recent acquisitions, joint ventures and international expansion.


Reporting to the CFO & COO, you will play a pivotal role in driving the finance team's operational effectiveness, coordinating cross-functional projects, and supporting international M&A activity from a finance perspective. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, balancing strategic project work (c.70%) with core administrative and operational support to the CFO (c.30%).


Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor and right hand to the CFO, ensuring priorities are effectively managed and delivered
  • Supporting international M&A activity, including due diligence coordination, integration planning, and liaison with external advisors
  • Driving cross-functional projects across the finance function, tracking progress and ensuring accountability
  • Preparing board and leadership reporting, presentations, and briefing materials
  • Managing the CFO's operational and administrative workload, including diary management, meeting coordination, and correspondence (c.30% of the role)
  • Acting as a key liaison between the CFO and wider finance and business stakeholders


Skill set required

  • Qualified Accountant finance looking to pivot your career or experience in a business operations role where you have been working directly with the CFO
  • 2-5 years experience working in corporate finance / M&A work is beneficial
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to work with changing priorities from the senior leadership team
  • Strategic and commercial thinker who is able to support in delivering across various projects
  • You will need to be highly organised, discreet, and comfortable operating at pace in a fast-moving, consumer-focused business
