Position Summary
The Menomonie Area Chamber & Visitor Center is seeking an experienced, strategic, and community-focused leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO is responsible for leading the organization's strategic direction, financial sustainability, daily operations, and staff while working closely with the Board of Directors to implement the Chamber's strategic plan. As the organization's chief ambassador, the CEO builds strong relationships with business leaders, community partners, elected officials, and investors while ensuring programs, services, and tourism initiatives deliver measurable value to the community. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within a chamber of commerce, nonprofit, membership organization, or similar environment
- Experience in human resources management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, coaching, and personnel policy administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and change management
- Experience developing and managing budgets, financial oversight, and audit processes
- Experience working with legal counsel on organizational policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational and community issues
- Experience with contract negotiation, partnership development, and revenue generation
- Strong communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills
- Familiarity with financial management systems; QuickBooks experience is a plus
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with regular attendance at early morning, evening, and occasional weekend meetings and events
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience

Additional Requirements
This position requires local travel throughout the community, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
