The Engine Overhaul business has the capability to service all products in the Trent engine family, this includes Trent 500, Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent 900, Trent 1000 and Trent XWB; SAESL is the only Trent engine MRO that can support all product variants. The Engine Overhaul business has the capacity to repair and overhaul over 300 Trent engines per year and it is equipped with a state-of-the-art Engine Test Facility that supports our best-in-class engine turnaround times.

The incumbent serves as the focal point for corporate strategy, business planning, industrialization, and long-term growth initiatives, ensuring alignment between the Enterprise Business Plan, Hoshin Kanri deployment, and the Company's long-term strategic objectives and competitive advantage.
Job Responsibilities
Corporate Strategy & Business Planning
- Support the development and periodic refresh of the corporate strategy.
- Translate shareholder expectations and market trends into strategic priorities.
- Facilitate strategic reviews and executive planning sessions.
- Develop strategic recommendations for executive management.
- Lead the development and consolidation of Enterprise Business Plans.
- Translate strategic objectives into measurable initiatives, targets and milestones.
- Coordinate annual strategic planning cycles and business reviews.
- Monitor strategic performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead the Hoshin Kanri planning and strategy deployment process.
- Align corporate strategy, Enterprise Business Plan and functional objectives.
- Coordinate target setting and strategy cascading across departments.
- Develop performance dashboards and management reporting mechanisms.
- Track strategic initiatives and facilitate stakeholder review sessions.
- Monitor strategic KPIs and performance.
- Conduct strategic risk assessments and recommend mitigation plans.
- Support Executive Management and Board reporting requirements.
- Monitor global aerospace MRO market trends, customer needs and competitor developments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry disruptions and market opportunities.
- Conduct strategic analyses, scenario planning and market forecasting.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities and growth initiatives.
- Develop strategic growth roadmaps and business cases.
- Support investment decisions and long-term portfolio planning.
- Evaluate diversification opportunities and adjacent markets.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with customers, industry partners, research institutions and government agencies.
- Strengthen ecosystem collaboration to accelerate growth and innovation.
- Support joint development, commercialization and innovation initiatives.
- Lead the development and industrialization of strategic capabilities to support future growth.
- Drive Industry 4.0 transformation initiatives and lighthouse programmes.
- Benchmark against global best practices and establish operational excellence roadmaps.
- Develop strategies for new business opportunities.
- Expand Component Repair value-added capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer offerings and revenue generation.
- Prioritize new repair technologies and products.
- Develop commercialization and industrialization roadmaps.
- Build long-term capability and product portfolios.
- Develop strategic roadmaps and governance frameworks.
- Provide executive updates and prepare Board papers.
- Ensure alignment across strategic transformation and growth initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related discipline. MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, programme management, aerospace MRO, manufacturing or related industries.
- Proven experience in corporate strategy development, business planning, growth strategy and strategic roadmap development.
- Strong understanding of aerospace MRO operations, industrialization and Industry 4.0 transformation initiatives.
- Experience leading cross-functional programmes, strategic initiatives and enterprise transformation projects.
- Experience in market intelligence, competitive analysis, business case development and investment evaluation.
- Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen with the ability to support portfolio planning and long-term growth initiatives.
- Experience preparing executive- and Board-level presentations, reports and strategic recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Hoshin Kanri strategy deployment, performance management and strategic governance is an advantage.
