Start with the work, not a title.

The best open applications connect something HawtAds needs with something you know how to do. Start with the problem, who it affects, and what better would look like.

The bar is the same as it is for a posted role. You are just describing the job before we have.

A few places to start.

These are broad areas, not secret job listings. Pick one, get specific, or make the case for something we missed.

• Engineering ML, the editor, platform reliability, integrations, or growth. You see a part of the product that needs an owner and know how to make it better.
• Design Product design, design engineering, or brand. Taste matters here, but so does getting the work into customers’ hands.
• Go-to-market Sales, partnerships, customer education, or growth. Show us how you would help the right teams find HawtAds and get real value from it.
• Operations Finance, people, support, or company operations. Help a small team become more dependable without burying it in process.
• Former founders You have built a company or product before and want to bring that range to an early team. Tell us where you would be most useful.

Give us something to react to.

A short, specific note is more useful than a long cover letter. These four things are enough to get the conversation started.

• What you would own Be specific. "A better way to catch broken type in generated ads" tells us much more than "ML at HawtAds".
• What you have done Show us one relevant thing you have shipped. Link it if you can, and tell us what part was yours.
• Why HawtAds now Why does HawtAds make sense to you now? A few honest sentences are enough.
• How to reach you Include your email, timezone, and any useful links to your work, writing, or code.

What happens next.

You will hear from a person. If the idea lines up with something we need now, the next step is a conversation.

• Founder review The founder reads every open application. You will usually hear back within a week.
• First conversation If we see a possible fit, we will set up a 45-minute call to compare what you have in mind with what HawtAds needs now.
• A clear answer If the timing or fit is not there, we will tell you instead of leaving you wondering.
