The Enterprise Payments Chief of Staff team is seeking a strategic and collaborative manager to help accelerate adoption of emerging capabilities, foster innovation, and strengthen how Enterprise Payments operates. This role will connect associates and leaders to the tools, experiences, and insights needed to drive impact in a rapidly evolving business environment.
The Team
The Enterprise Payments Chief of Staff team serves as a strategic hub for the organization, driving alignment to priorities, enabling effective execution, and cultivating a high-performing and inclusive culture. We partner closely with leaders and enterprise stakeholders to advance strategic planning, executive communications, associate engagement, capability building, and innovation initiatives that help Enterprise Payments deliver on its vision.
The Role
As a Manager, Strategic Capabilities & Innovation, you will lead efforts to identify, adopt, and scale the capabilities that will shape the future of Enterprise Payments. Acting as a strategic connector across business, HR, Learning & Development, and Enterprise AI teams, you will drive AI adoption, bring external perspectives into the organization, and design experiences that help associates and leaders build future-ready skills.
You will play a key role in advancing strategic priorities, accelerating innovation, and helping Enterprise Payments continuously evolve how work gets done.
What You’ll Do
- Accelerate AI Adoption: Drive awareness, adoption, and effective use of enterprise AI capabilities across Enterprise Payments.
- Connect Enterprise Payments to Emerging Capabilities: Serve as Enterprise Payments’ primary liaison to enterprise AI, technology and innovation teams, ensuring associates and leaders have access to new tools, pilots, and best practices.
- Design Leadership & Capability Experiences: Lead targeted associate development experiences, leadership forums, and capability-building programs that strengthen leadership effectiveness, AI readiness, and organizational capabilities
- Drive Innovation & Industry Engagement: Bring external perspectives, emerging trends, and industry insights into Enterprise Payments.
- Shape Future Ways of Working: Identify opportunities to improve productivity, simplify processes, redesign workflows, and leverage emerging technologies to improve productivity and organization effectiveness.
- Lead Strategic Initiatives: Drive cross-functional programs and special projects aligned to Enterprise Payments priorities.
- Measure Impact: Track adoption, engagement, and business outcomes to continuously improve programs and initiatives.
- Demonstrate curiosity and passion for innovation, emerging technologies, and new ways of working
- Thrive in ambiguity and independently create structure, priorities, and momentum
- Balance strategic thinking with strong execution and operational excellence
- Take ownership and consistently deliver high-impact outcomes
- Influence senior leaders and drive change across multiple stakeholder groups
- Lead within the team on project management, executive communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, Strategy, or Chief of Staff
- At least 2 years experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office
- At least 2 years experience working with Generative AI tools
- At least 5 years of experience in program management, project management, strategy or Chief of Staff
- At least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives in a matrixed environment
- At least 3 years of experience driving adoption of emerging technologies, ie Generative AI
- At least 2 years of experience designing and executing leadership development, capability-building, or organizational enablement programs
- At least 2 years of experience supporting executive leaders
- At least 2 years of experience managing stakeholder relationships across business functions
- At least 2 years of storytelling and presenting technical ideations to diverse audiences
McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Project Management
Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management
Wilmington, DE: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
