General Manager

We are seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead a well-established precast concrete manufacturing company in Río Grande, Puerto Rico. This executive will have full responsibility for business performance and provide strategic and operational leadership across Operations, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Human Resources.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial discipline, commercial insight, and manufacturing leadership. This person will strengthen the management structure, improve operational execution, develop key customer relationships, and drive profitable, sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for P&L, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and EBITDA performance
• Translate ownership’s strategic vision into clear priorities, operating plans, performance metrics, and accountability mechanisms
• Lead and align Operations, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Human Resources
• Improve production planning, capacity utilization, productivity, quality, safety, inventory management, and on-time delivery
• Strengthen manufacturing cost management, including labor, materials, waste, product margins, and project profitability
• Lead the commercial strategy and develop business with contractors, developers, and organizations involved in public and private infrastructure projects
• Build relationships across the highway, electrical, telecommunications, water, and wastewater sectors
• Oversee quotations, technical evaluations, pricing, margins, and scope definition for standard and customized products
• Partner with Engineering to evaluate, develop, and transfer new or modified products into production
• Develop the leadership team and foster a culture of accountability, execution, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, environmental, labor, safety, quality, and manufacturing requirements
• Present business results, risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to ownership and senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience, including broad responsibility for operations and financial performance.
• Demonstrated experience managing P&L, budgets, costs, working capital, operational KPIs, and profitability.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial products, building materials, infrastructure, or a related industry.
• Proven ability to lead a multifunctional organization through managers and specialized teams.
• Strong knowledge of B2B sales, negotiations, quotations, contracts, and customer relationship development.
• Solid combination of operational judgment, commercial perspective, and financial acumen.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Availability to work on-site in Río Grande, Puerto Rico.
