The Strategic Planning & PMO Manager is responsible for prioritizing, governing, and driving the Supply Chain organization’s strategic initiative and project portfolio, ensuring alignment with priorities and business objectives. This position will oversee multiple large-scale, complex initiatives and will have ownership of several core program management processes, governance frameworks and portfolio management tools. The ideal candidate will have sharp business acumen and a proven ability to strategize and implement cross functional strategic initiatives. This position is for someone who is motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
- Own and continuously improve project governance processes, portfolio reporting, prioritization frameworks and PMO standards in support of the Supply Chain multi-year strategic roadmap.
- Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
- Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
- Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
- Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment. Coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
- Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives. Manage funding channels for maximum productivity
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders
- Serve as the primary communication point to teams such as flow planning, supply chain financial planning, and transportation
- Coordinate and track progress of implemented projects and work streams. Provide workstream and process updates as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, portfolio visibility, governance and organizational effectiveness through new processes and enabling technologies.
- Lead independently to determine best possible methods and procedures to deliver against strategic planning assignments.
- 5+ years supply chain, engineering, or finance experience with network modeling and optimization experience, required
- 5+ years of large scale program management experience, involving multiple cross functional stakeholders and senior leadership, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- Master’s degree in business administration or related field (preferred)
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel
- Relational database knowledge (e.g. Alteryx, SQL, Access)
- Working knowledge of Supply chain modeling and optimization software such as Llamasoft or Optilogic preferred (interpretation, troubleshooting, etc.)
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
