About the Role

We're looking for an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join Foodhub's Executive Leadership Team and help shape the next stage of our global growth.

This isn't a traditional CFO role focused purely on reporting and compliance. We're looking for a commercially minded leader who wants to help build the business, influence strategic decisions, and work alongside the CEO in a fast-moving, founder-led environment.

You'll have overall responsibility for the Group's financial strategy, commercial performance, financial governance and global finance operations across the UK, Ireland, USA, ANZ and India. You'll help guide major business decisions, support international expansion, evaluate strategic investments and acquisitions, and ensure the financial infrastructure scales with the business.

We're looking for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution—someone who can challenge ideas, simplify complexity, and help build a finance function that enables growth rather than slows it down.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Leadership

• Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to shape Foodhub's long-term business strategy.
• Provide commercial insight that supports key business decisions across all international markets.
• Influence investment priorities, business expansion, and organisational growth.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO on financial, commercial, and strategic matters.

Financial Strategy & Commercial Leadership

• Develop and execute Foodhub's global financial strategy.
• Drive profitable growth while maintaining financial discipline.
• Lead long-term financial planning and business forecasting.
• Support commercial initiatives through financial modelling and investment analysis.
• Provide meaningful insight that helps the business make better decisions.

Financial Reporting & Governance

• Oversee Group financial reporting across all international entities.
• Ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting.
• Lead statutory reporting, audits and regulatory compliance.
• Strengthen governance, financial controls and risk management frameworks.
• Ensure the finance function supports future international growth.

Business Performance & Planning

• Own budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across the Group.
• Develop KPIs and reporting dashboards that support operational performance.
• Analyse profitability across products, markets and business units.
• Partner with department leaders to improve commercial performance.

Treasury, Cash Flow & Capital Management

• Oversee treasury, cash flow and working capital management.
• Optimise capital allocation across the business.
• Manage banking relationships and funding requirements.
• Ensure strong financial resilience as the business scales internationally.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Projects

• Lead financial due diligence for acquisitions and strategic investments.
• Evaluate commercial opportunities through robust financial analysis.
• Support successful integration of acquired businesses.
• Identify opportunities that strengthen Foodhub's long-term growth strategy.

AI, Finance Systems & Transformation

• Lead the continued evolution of Foodhub's finance systems and reporting capabilities.
• Champion automation, AI and data-driven decision-making across the finance function.
• Simplify financial processes while improving visibility and operational efficiency.
• Build scalable finance infrastructure capable of supporting international expansion.

Leadership

• Build and develop a world-class global finance team.
• Create a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Coach and mentor future finance leaders.
• Build strong relationships across every function of the business.
• Lead by example through visibility, collaboration and practical leadership.

Key Experience

We're looking for someone who's helped build high-growth international businesses—not simply managed finance.

You'll likely have:

• Executive finance leadership experience as a CFO, Deputy CFO, Group Financial Controller, Finance Director or equivalent senior leadership role.
• Experience within technology, SaaS, hospitality technology, fintech, marketplaces or other high-growth international businesses.
• Strong experience managing global finance functions across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
• Extensive experience with financial planning, reporting, governance and business partnering.
• Proven success supporting international expansion, acquisitions or business transformation.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, international taxation and multi-entity group reporting.
• Experience operating within founder-led or entrepreneurial businesses where speed and adaptability are essential.
