Head of Technology Delivery

Deputy CIO Designate | CIO Succession Opportunity | Enterprise Technology | Strategic Delivery

About the Role

Join a highly regarded international financial services organisation at a pivotal stage in its technology transformation journey.

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this executive leadership role has been created as part of the organisation's long-term succession strategy. From day one, you will act as the CIO's trusted deputy, taking ownership of enterprise technology delivery while partnering closely with Executive Leadership to shape the future direction of technology across the organisation.

This is far more than a traditional Head of Technology role.

You will lead the end-to-end technology delivery function, driving execution across a broad portfolio of strategic initiatives spanning enterprise applications, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and AI. At the same time, you will play a key role in strengthening governance, improving delivery maturity, developing internal capability and ensuring technology investment delivers measurable business value.

The successful candidate will be joining with a clearly defined progression pathway. Operating as the CIO's second-in-command from the outset, this role is designed to develop into Deputy Chief Information Officer, with the longer-term objective of becoming the organisation's successor to the CIO.

This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation where technology is central to future business success. You'll work directly alongside an experienced CIO, influence enterprise-wide technology strategy, and play a defining role in modernising technology delivery across the business.

More importantly, this is a genuine succession opportunity. The successful individual will join with a structured pathway to Deputy CIO and, over time, be developed as the organisation's future Chief Information Officer. Opportunities of this nature are exceptionally rare within the Irish market and represent an exciting next step for an ambitious technology executive.
