You Will Be Part of Growing Team
The Commercial Leader is responsible for leading Pioneers Seed business in Egypt, ensuring profitability, sustainable growth, and compliance. The role focuses on developing and executing the country strategy, building a high-performing commercial organization, and representing the company with key stakeholders.
Your Challenge
Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement the country strategy and execution plan, aligned with regional and corporate objectives.
- Set and communicate business vision, priorities, and goals (short and long term) to the Egypt team and regional management.
- Identify and focus on the most profitable opportunities for growth.
- Ensure alignment and efficient execution of plans through cross-functional coordination.
- Lead the commercial organization, directly supervising the Sales Managers and Marketing Manager
- Deliver top-line and bottom-line targets, including price, volume, and margin to quarterly and annual plans.
- Maintain and grow market share, customer relationships, acquisition, and retention.
- Develop and oversee commercial development strategies and country commercial conditions.
- Build and enhance people capabilities through clear expectations, accountability, coaching, and support.
- Work on a solid succession planning for key roles based on both internal and external profiles
- Foster a culture of recognition, reward, and continuous development.
- Work with HR and support functions to improve workforce capabilities.
- Ensure full compliance with Corteva’s business conduct policy, core values, and national statutory requirements
- Oversee legal (antitrust laws), compliance, and core values adherence in all country operations.
- Protect company assets, including physical, financial, intellectual property, and human resources.
- Represent Pioneer in Egypt with customers, government bodies, authorities, and industry associations.
- Build company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees.
- Advocate for the Egyptian business and contribute to regional leadership meetings as and when required.
- Operational Excellence
- Coordinate and develop all departments to achieve operational and strategic goals.
- Lead and follow up on projects to ensure delivery targets and resource allocation.
- Monitor product performance, identify technology opportunities, and set clear direction for product management and sales/agronomy teams.
- Internal: Commercial Unit Leadership Team, Country Leadership Team, AME Marketing Team
- External: Top distributors, customers, Seeds Business Associations, Ministry of Agriculture, regulatory agencies, key agricultural institutes
Reporting Line
Reports to the NESA (North, East Southern Africa Cluster) Commercial Unit Leader
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or related field required.
- Proven leadership experience in commercial/agricultural business, preferably in Egypt or similar markets.
- Strong strategic, financial, and operational acumen.
- Excellent people leadership and cross-functional team management skills.
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and represent the company externally.
- Fluent in English. Additional language is an advantage.
