Energy Queensland | Qld-based | Executive Leadership Team

Energy Queensland is seeking an exceptional executive to lead one of Queensland's largest and most strategically significant people, property and safety portfolios, partnering with the Chief Executive Officer to shape enterprise performance across one of Australia's largest electricity organisations.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Executive General Manager People, Property & Safety (EGM PP&S) leads a broad portfolio encompassing People, Health, Safety, Environment and Cultural Heritage, Property, Corporate Security and Corporate Shared Services. The role is instrumental in developing a high-performing leadership team and building organisational capability, while shaping the people, safety and corporate services strategies that support Energy Queensland's vision of energising Queensland communities.

The role carries significant organisational, commercial and reputational responsibility, operating within a complex Government-Owned Corporation environment with Board, regulatory and government oversight. The EGM PP&S will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Leadership Team, Board, government stakeholders and employee representatives to shape workforce strategy, organisational capability and enterprise performance across one of Queensland's largest critical infrastructure organisations.

The breadth of the portfolio requires an executive who combines strategic leadership with strong commercial and financial acumen. Responsible for substantial operating budgets, extensive corporate assets and enterprise-wide support services, the Executive General Manager PP&S will ensure sound stewardship of resources and strategic investment to deliver sustainable business outcomes. Success will require sound judgement, political acumen and the ability to balance commercial, workforce, operational and stakeholder considerations in a complex and highly visible environment.

Candidates will bring substantial executive leadership experience gained within large, complex and highly-regulated organisations. Experience across utilities, energy, government, mining, resources, transport, infrastructure or similarly operationally intensive environments will be highly regarded.

The successful executive will have demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide people strategies, bringing deep industrial relations expertise and exceptional leadership capability to influence at the highest levels of the organisation. Experience leading broad corporate service portfolios, including people, safety, property, security or shared services, will be highly regarded.

For the right executive, this is a career-defining opportunity to help shape the future direction of one of Queensland's most prominent Government-Owned Corporations and leave a lasting legacy.
