Head of Growth and Innovation

A leading biotechnology organization is seeking a Head of Growth & Innovation to help shape and advance commercial innovation across therapeutic areas. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on identifying bold ideas, emerging technologies, external partnerships, and new capabilities that can create value for the business, customers, and patient communities. The role sits within an agile team and requires a leader who can navigate ambiguity, build trust, create alignment, and influence across a complex organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s commercial strategy, growth drivers, therapeutic priorities, and market dynamics to identify high-potential growth opportunities.
• Build and implement a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with the organization’s mission, values, and business objectives.
• Partner across marketing, medical affairs, operations, legal, compliance, and leadership to gain support for new ideas, capabilities, technologies, and external collaborations.
• Lead the assessment, testing, scaling, and implementation of new technologies and capabilities across franchises and functions.
• Develop measurement approaches to evaluate impact, track performance, and assess return on investment.
• Continuously scan the external healthcare ecosystem, including technology companies, new models of care delivery, innovators, emerging companies, and potential partners, to identify opportunities that accelerate growth or address barriers across therapeutic areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or healthcare consulting experience preferred.
• Breadth of experience across healthcare commercial disciplines such as marketing, market access, strategy, business development, or management consulting.
• Deep understanding of healthcare ecosystems and market dynamics.
• Proven ability to lead through change, ambiguity, and cross-functional complexity.
• Experience project managing complex and innovative programs with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
