Head of Organisation Design & Operating Model
Indexed description
The role Design companies, not just org charts. You will define how dozens of operating companies are structured, governed, and run — and build the leadership academy that produces the people who run them.
What you will do
- Design the group operating model: decision rights, spans of control, governance forums, and the management operating system
- Create the standard company-build kit — org structures, role architecture, RACI, and reporting lines every new venture launches with
- Design governance for a multi-division group: board cadence, delegation of authority, and performance management frameworks
- Build and run the Bengaluru leadership academy — a cohort-based, multi-phase program developing the GMs and CEOs of our companies
- Define incentive and performance frameworks aligned to long-hold ownership
- Codify culture, values, and ways of working; lead change management as the group scales
What you have done
- 8–12 years in organisation design, operating model, or human capital consulting — or led organisation design inside a scaled company or group
- Designed org structures and operating models that were actually implemented, and can speak to what happened afterwards
- Built governance frameworks — decision rights, delegation of authority, performance systems — for multi-unit organisations
- Designed or run structured leadership development or academy-style programs
Good to have: Conglomerate or holding-company exposure; spans-and-layers benchmarking; familiarity with codified operating systems (Danaher DBS-style playbooks).
Why join: You architect the organisational DNA of an entire group at founding — not a re-org, a first build; the academy you design becomes the group's leadership engine.
