The Head of IT Strategy & Business Operations leads the strategic planning, governance, and business management functions of the Information Technology Group (ITG). Reporting to the CIO, the role drives the execution of IT priorities, oversees IT-wide planning and governance, manages vendor and contract activities, and delivers management insights through reporting and analytics.

Serving as the Office of the CIO, the role supports organizational governance, executive communications, and leadership initiatives while ensuring effective coordination across IT, business, and support units to enable informed decision-making, operational excellence, and the successful delivery of business and technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Strategy and Planning

• Lead the development and execution of the IT Group’s strategic priorities and initiatives.
• Oversee IT planning, including strategy reviews, goal setting, and business planning.
• Monitor progress, risks, and issues, and provide management updates.
• Ensure IT initiatives, investments, and resources align with business goals and regulatory requirements.

2. Business Operations and Governance

• Lead IT Group business management and governance activities.
• Coordinate governance forums, management committees, and leadership reviews.
• Monitor key action items, commitments, and priorities across the IT Group.
• Drive improvements in operational efficiency, governance, and management processes.

3. Office of the CIO and Executive Support

• Lead the Office of the CIO and provide strategic support to the IT Group Head.
• Manage executive communications, presentations, reports, and leadership materials.
• Coordinate strategic initiatives, special projects, and cross-functional programs.
• Foster alignment and collaboration across IT leadership and key stakeholders.

4. Performance Management and Analytics

• Oversee IT performance reporting, analysis, and management insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and executive reports.
• Provide recommendations to improve performance and decision-making.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent management reporting.

5. Vendor and Contract Management

• Oversee governance of strategic IT vendors and service providers.
• Monitor vendor performance, service levels, and contractual commitments.
• Support contract reviews, renewals, and commercial discussions.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality, performance, and cost efficiency.

6. Service Support and Operational Reporting

• Oversee governance and reporting of IT service support performance.
• Monitor service levels, operational metrics, and recurring issues.
• Drive initiatives to improve service quality, stability, and user experience.
• Ensure timely escalation and visibility of significant service risks.

7. Stakeholder and Organizational Management

• Build strong relationships with business units, support groups, regulators, auditors, and partners.
• Support workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, and effective communication across the IT Group.
• Ensure departmental activities align with IT Group and Bank priorities.
