What the job involves
As CFO, you will be a key member of the leadership team, partnering closely with the management to drive the company's financial strategy and support its next phase of growth. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for developing a scalable finance function, improving reporting and controls and providing strategic financial guidance across an international, multi-entity business.
- Act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, supporting the company's long-term growth agenda
- Lead the firm's financial strategy, planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Oversee all finance operations, including accounting, consolidation, management reporting and financial controls
- Deliver timely financial reporting, KPI dashboards and commercial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Drive the continued professionalisation of the finance function, improving systems, processes and governance frameworks
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, capital planning and overall financial performance
- Lead external audit processes and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks and other external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial, tax and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Build, develop and lead a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business to support operational excellence and future growth initiatives
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
- Proven experience as a CFO (or equivalent senior finance leader) within a multi-billion AUM private markets or asset management platform
- Strong expertise in financial planning, accounting, group reporting, internal controls and governance across a complex, international, multi-entity organisation
- Track record of building and scaling finance functions while driving process improvements and operational excellence
- Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive leadership and the board
- Fluent English is essential; German is a strong advantage
