CFO, International Investment Firm, Zurich area, Switzerland

Our client is a well-established international investment firm headquartered in Switzerland with an expanding global presence. They are seeking an experienced and hands-on CFO to join the leadership team, strengthen the finance function and help drive the business through its next phase of growth. The role is based in the Zurich area, Switzerland.

What the job involves

As CFO, you will be a key member of the leadership team, partnering closely with the management to drive the company's financial strategy and support its next phase of growth. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for developing a scalable finance function, improving reporting and controls and providing strategic financial guidance across an international, multi-entity business.

• Act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, supporting the company's long-term growth agenda
• Lead the firm's financial strategy, planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Oversee all finance operations, including accounting, consolidation, management reporting and financial controls
• Deliver timely financial reporting, KPI dashboards and commercial insights to support strategic decision-making
• Drive the continued professionalisation of the finance function, improving systems, processes and governance frameworks
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, capital planning and overall financial performance
• Lead external audit processes and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks and other external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial, tax and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Build, develop and lead a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business to support operational excellence and future growth initiatives

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
• Proven experience as a CFO (or equivalent senior finance leader) within a multi-billion AUM private markets or asset management platform
• Strong expertise in financial planning, accounting, group reporting, internal controls and governance across a complex, international, multi-entity organisation
• Track record of building and scaling finance functions while driving process improvements and operational excellence
• Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive leadership and the board
• Fluent English is essential; German is a strong advantage
