Job Overview
The Senior Executive Director of Project Operations is a senior management leader responsible for enterprise project operations management, strategic project execution, project delivery system construction, and operational efficiency improvement. They are fully responsible for the execution management of key enterprise projects, complex business projects, and cross-departmental projects.
This position typically reports to the Senior Executive Vice President of Project Operations (SEVP), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Head of Project Management Office (PMO), or Head of Enterprise Strategy Execution. Through establishing a project operations management system, optimizing project execution processes, coordinating organizational resources, and improving project delivery capabilities, they ensure the high-quality and efficient implementation of enterprise strategic projects.
The Senior Executive Director of Project Operations is a key manager connecting enterprise strategic goals, project management systems, and business execution teams, responsible for improving the enterprise's project execution capabilities and organizational operational efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
I. Project Operation Strategy Execution
Responsible for the specific implementation of the company's project operation strategy;
Transforming corporate strategic goals into project execution plans;
Developing project operation management plans and implementation roadmaps;
Monitoring the execution of key projects;
Providing project operation analysis and improvement suggestions to senior management.
II. Corporate Project Operation System Construction
Establishing project operation management processes and standards;
Optimizing project execution methods, management mechanisms, and delivery systems;
Promoting the standardization and normalization of project management;
Establishing a project operation performance management system;
Enhancing the maturity of corporate project management.
III. Large-Scale Project Delivery Management
Responsible for the execution of key and strategic projects;
Managing project scope, time, budget, resources, and quality;
Monitoring project milestones and key deliverables;
Coordinating and resolving major issues during project execution;
Ensuring projects are completed on schedule and achieve commercial value.
IV. Project Portfolio and Prioritization Management
Assisting in the management of the company's project portfolio;
Assessing project priorities and resource requirements;
Balancing resource allocation across multiple projects;
Tracking project return on investment (ROI);
Enhancing the overall value contribution of projects.
V. Cross-departmental Coordination and Resource Integration
Coordinate with departments such as operations, product, R&D, sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and human resources;
Promote cross-departmental project collaboration;
Resolve organizational execution obstacles;
Optimize the allocation of personnel, budgets, and technical resources;
Improve project execution efficiency.
VI. Project Risk Management and Quality Control
Establish a project risk identification and early warning mechanism;
Manage project execution risks;
Supervise project quality standards;
Promote project problem rectification;
Establish a project review and continuous optimization mechanism.
VII. Operational Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
Analyze efficiency issues in the project execution process;
Promote process optimization and management improvement;

VIII. Digital Project Operation Management
Promote the digital construction of project operations;

Qualifications
Education Background
Bachelor's degree or above; Major in Project Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering Management, Information Management, or a related field; MBA, EMBA, PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certifications are preferred.
Work Experience
Over 20 years of experience in project management, operations management, or corporate transformation;
8-15 years of experience in senior project management positions;
Experience in positions such as Senior Project Operations Director, PMO Director, or Program Director;
Experience in managing projects in large enterprises, multi-project environments, or across regions.
