We're an energy-storage technology company built around two proprietary, patented technologies that solve problems the current state of the art can't. Both deliver genuine USP’s and unique competitive advantages. One is production-ready and waiting on capital to enter pilot production. The other is earlier-stage, but a real next-generation step for its category of energy storage, with a sustainability profile that will be best-in-class. Together, the two technologies are synergetic, and they're relevant across a wide range of industries and use cases - this isn't a niche opportunity, it's one with reach across many sectors at once.
We've already raised >3 M€ to get here - a mix of equity capital from private investors, loans, and soft funding - and we've built real commercial momentum through ongoing projects with multiple partners, including well-recognized names, that are positioned to convert into commercial traction once pilot production is running. Our founder, a deeply technical capacity, has been the driving force behind our soft funding success in recent years - taking the company further on non-dilutive capital than most. That's exactly why we're ready now for a different kind of raise, and a leader dedicated to it, so our founder can keep doing what made this technology exceptional in the first place.
What we're missing isn't maturity. It's a dedicated commercial and capital-raising leader - someone who can walk into a company with real technology, an expienced technical team, and real traction, and take it into its next investment round and beyond. Whether this is the first time you'd carry a title like this or the fifth, if you can do this, the role is built for you.
Phase 1 - the next 6–12 months:
Primary objective:
- Lead and close a ~1 M€ investment round with private investors - VCs, angels, family offices, and strategic/corporate investors (CVCs)
Secondary objectives:
- Co-develop our commercial and go-to-market strategy together with the board and founder
- In parallel, open conversations that can become strategic partnerships with future revenue potential
- Land the first pilot orders that prove commercial traction alongside the raise
Phase 2 - once the round closes: This is where the role becomes what it's named for. You'll take on full commercial leadership: building and executing the sales strategy, shaping our go-to-market and market focus together with the founder and board. And because capital-raising in deep tech is never a one-time event, you will lead the larger rounds that will follow as we scale.
In short: you're not joining to run a function. You're joining to build one, prove it, and then own it at C-level.
- Sector: Energy storage technology, deep-tech / hard-tech
- Team: 4 FTEs, all technical backgrounds
- Governance: An experienced board with direct technology and sector expertise, actively engaged in the raise itself, not just oversight from a distance
- Location: Denmark
Further details about the company to be disclosed upon invitation to an interview.
Non-negotiable:
- A track record of raising capital for technology-heavy or science-heavy companies. Ideally, though not necessarily, in energy storage or adjacent deep tech. You know how to build a data room, work a VC/angel/CVC pipeline, and get a term sheet signed. Ideally, you also bring a relevant network of investors.
Strongly preferred, not required:
- Sales or business development experience in technology-heavy companies - a real bonus, but we can build this with you if the fundraising instinct is there
- Experience operating inside young companies creating and moving from early commercial traction into early/mid-stage scaling
Who you are:
- You think and act like a founder - ownership over tasks, not just execution of them
- Strategic, but comfortable getting hands-on when there's no one else to do it
- An operator first: whether you're an emerging leader or an experienced one, you're willing to build this from the ground up, not step into something already built
Where you are located:
- The role can be on-site, remote, or hybrid.
- You reside in the EU or North America, or hold a valid work permit for these regions.
We're asking you to bet on this alongside us - and we're structuring the deal so that bet pays off:
- Meaningful equity, granted early (within approximately the first 3 months), subject to a vesting schedule
- Success fee on completion of the investment round
- Salary begins upon successful completion of the round
This means: little to no cash compensation up front. Your first job is to create the capital that funds your own salary. Your equity stake means you're building your own upside from day one, not just ours.
If that trade-off excites rather than worries you, you're probably the right person for this.
- You'll report to: our CEO/founder directly, with a seat at board meetings, reflecting the seniority and C-level trajectory of the role from day one
- Board support: our board is engaged in the raise itself - not just governance from a distance
You've raised money before, you understand what investors need to see from a science-heavy startup, and you want the kind of role where the title on day one is the start of the story, not the whole thing.
