Job Description of the Luxury Resort Executive Banquet Chef

This role combines culinary excellence, creativity, operational leadership, and guest-focused service to deliver memorable dining experiences that reflect the resort's luxury standards.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized culinary professional with strong banquet and event experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating innovative menus tailored to diverse guest needs and event themes.

Essential Functions of the Luxury Resort Executive Banquet Chef

• Lead all culinary operations related to special events from planning through BEO execution.

• Execute customized menus for weddings, private events, conferences, social gatherings, and resort-sponsored events.

• Collaborate with planning and sales teams and attend BEO Meetings and Pre-Cons.

• Develop creative culinary concepts that align with event themes and luxury guest expectations.

• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.

• Forecast food production requirements and manage event-specific inventory.

• Control food costs.

• Work closely with purchasing teams and stewarding and banquet team.

• Interact professionally with VIP guests, wedding clients, and event hosts when required.

Qualifications of the Luxury Resort Executive Banquet Chef:

• 2+ years prior experience as a Banquet Chef in high volume high quality food and presentation.

• Experience in a luxury resort or hotel, or destination hospitality environment.

• Experience with high-profile weddings, corporate functions, and VIP events.

• Possess strength in training and team building programs.
