Role Description The Catering Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Stuart, FL, responsible for overseeing all catered events and functions at Mariner Sands Country Club. This role plans and coordinates events from initial inquiry through execution, including menu planning, room setup, timelines, and staffing needs. The Catering Manager works closely with the culinary and food & beverage teams to ensure high-quality service, consistent presentation standards, and seamless event delivery. Day-to-day activities include meeting with members and guests to understand event requirements, preparing proposals and contracts, managing event budgets, and supervising event setup and breakdown. The Catering Manager also monitors guest satisfaction, addresses service issues, maintains strong relationships with vendors, and collaborates with club leadership to enhance event offerings and drive revenue.

Qualifications

  • Food service management experience, with strong skills in Food Service and Food & Beverage operations.
  • Proven Catering experience, including planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events and banquets.
  • Customer Service skills focused on delivering a high-quality, member-centric experience.
  • Basic understanding of Cooking and culinary processes to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff on menus and presentations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple events and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with members, guests, staff, and vendors.
  • Experience in hospitality, country clubs, resorts, or similar upscale environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency with event management software, POS systems, and standard office applications.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business, or a related field is beneficial.
