General Manager of the Hotel

This Job Description has been developed and approved in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other regulatory legal acts governing labor relations in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1.

This Job Description defines the duties, rights, and responsibilities of the General Manager of BIZNES UNITED LLC (hereinafter referred to as the "Company").

HOTEL MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

I. General Provisions

1.

The Hotel Manager is classified as a senior management position.

2.

A person appointed to the position of Hotel Manager must possess:

  • a higher professional (economic or business-related) education;
  • additional professional training in Hotel Management; and
  • at least three (3) years of managerial experience in the hotel industry.

3.

The Hotel Manager must have knowledge of:

3.1. The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Consumer Protection," the Rules for the Provision of Hotel Services in Uzbekistan, and other regulatory legal acts governing hotel operations.

3.2. Civil, financial, tax, and investment legislation.

3.3. Business planning procedures.

3.4. Market-based business management methods and financial management.

3.5. Principles of financial planning.

3.6. Fundamentals of management and marketing.

3.7. Principles of administration.

3.8. Standards for the maintenance and furnishing of guest rooms and other hotel premises.

3.9. Organization of the hotel's material and technical support.

3.10. Procedures for concluding and executing commercial and financial contracts.

3.11. Hotel operations and management.

3.12. Functional planning and the physical infrastructure of the hotel.

3.13. Economics, hotel service organization, and labor organization.

3.14. A foreign language commonly spoken by the hotel's primary clientele.

3.15. Procedures for preparing reports on the hotel's financial and business activities.

3.16. Interpersonal communication theory.

3.17. Records management standards, including document classification, preparation, registration, processing, and storage.

3.18. Basic software applications.

3.19. Methods of information processing using modern communication technologies and computer systems.

3.20. Security systems and procedures.

3.21. Labor legislation, occupational health and safety regulations, workplace safety standards, and fire safety regulations.

4.

The Hotel Manager reports to the Founders, represented by:

General Meeting, Board of Directors, or other governing body)

5.

During the absence of the Hotel Manager, his/her duties shall be performed by a duly appointed Deputy Manager or Assistant Manager, who shall be responsible for the proper, efficient, and timely performance of those duties.


II. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Hotel General Manager shall:

1.

Manage the financial and business operations of the hotel in accordance with applicable legislation, bearing full responsibility for the consequences of management decisions, the safekeeping and efficient use of hotel property, and the financial and operational performance of the hotel.

2.

Organize the work and ensure effective cooperation among all hotel departments, coordinate their activities, and monitor the quality and timely performance of the duties assigned to staff.

3.

Supervise the activities of all hotel departments, including:

  • Front Office / Guest Reception and Services;
  • Housekeeping Department;
  • Food Preparation (Kitchen);
  • Food & Beverage Department;
  • Engineering Services;
  • Financial and Economic Departments; and
  • Other hotel departments as applicable.

4.

Participate in the development of the hotel's marketing policy, establish standards for hotel facilities and interior design, approve guest service standards, and authorize plans for advertising and promotional campaigns.

5.

Lead the work of hotel departments in developing methods and strategies to improve the quality of services provided and increase the number of guests.

6.

Approve long-term development plans for all areas of hotel operations and determine and approve the hotel's pricing policy, including:

  • prices for standard accommodation and service packages; and
  • prices for additional services.

7.

Execute contracts on behalf of the hotel for:

  • procurement of equipment, furniture, supplies, and other materials;
  • repair and maintenance of buildings, structures, and hotel premises; and
  • other commercial and financial agreements.

8.

Ensure that the hotel is staffed with highly qualified personnel by:

  • participating directly in the selection of candidates for management positions;
  • establishing qualification requirements and job responsibilities;
  • entering into employment contracts with senior and middle management employees; and
  • communicating the hotel's policies and objectives to management personnel.

9.

Analyze:

  • guest feedback regarding hotel services;
  • the hotel's financial and economic performance; and
  • the efficiency of financial resource utilization.

10.

Report to the Founders on the hotel's financial and operational performance.


III. RIGHTS

The Hotel General Manager shall have the right to:

1.

Act on behalf of the hotel and represent its interests in dealings with:

  • government authorities;
  • local government bodies;
  • legal entities; and
  • hotel guests and clients.

2.

Manage and dispose of the hotel's property and financial resources in accordance with applicable legislation, the Company's Charter (or Regulations), and other regulatory legal acts.

3.

Open settlement, operating, and other bank accounts on behalf of the hotel.

4.

Make decisions regarding employees' disciplinary liability in accordance with applicable legislation and internal regulations, grant incentives and rewards, and dismiss employees where appropriate.


IV. LIABILITY

The Hotel General Manager shall be liable for:

1.

Improper performance or failure to perform the duties specified in this Job Description, within the limits established by the labor legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2.

Offenses committed in the course of performing official duties, within the limits established by the administrative, criminal, and civil legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

3.

Causing material damage to the hotel, within the limits established by the labor and civil legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
