There's a type of person the house was built for and most of them already know who they are.

The Creative Director with seventeen tabs open at midnight because the concept arrived and couldn't wait. The photographer who saves a reference mid-coffee before it disappears. The Graphic Designer whose best ideas always seem to arrive on their commute to meetings or mid-flight. They all have the same thing in common. A level of taste and creativity that not everyone can appreciate. Let alone create.

They’re creatively restless in a way that doesn't respond to working hours, weekends or the reasonable suggestion that it can wait until tomorrow. That’s not how they operate and neither do we.

Open All Hours came from that recognition. Jack and Joe didn't workshop the name or run it through a branding process (for once). They looked at themselves and the community forming around them and saw the same thing missing. A space for people who never really switch off.

And they thought: if that's who this is for, the house should reflect it.

So it does. What gets served here doesn't change depending on the hour. The menu is available. The standard is the same at midnight through to midday and the door is open because the people inside it don't arrive on a schedule and never have.

A coffee house that closes is just a room with beans. This was always going to be something else.

There's a detail worth mentioning because it still makes the team smile when it’s mentioned. Jack is in Sydney and Joe is in London. Between those 2 cities there truly isn't an hour in the day that the house is asleep.

They didn't plan it that way. It just turned out to be quietly, perfectly true.

The espresso is always on. The house is always open. That was always going to be the point.
