This role is responsible for the overall Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant, beverage, and room service. You will drive guest and employee satisfaction, protect and elevate service standards, and deliver results aligned with financial goals, always ensuring compliance with applicable Food & Beverage laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities (Functions)
Operations & Service Excellence
- Oversee all restaurant, beverage, and room service operations.
- Manage day-to-day execution and ensure standards are met consistently.
- Take ownership of guest issues until they are fully resolved.
- Strengthen service culture through alignment, coaching, and leadership by example.
- Improve service through clear communication, guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
- Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for the F&B departments.
- Use budgets to understand objectives and performance expectations.
- Maintain a positive cost management approach for restaurant operations.
- Lead the Food & Beverage departments (excluding catering sales).
- Supervise and manage employees, ensuring operational continuity (able to step in when required).
- Build a high-performance environment focused on motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear expectations and ensure recognition when expectations are exceeded.
- Monitor productivity, prioritize work effectively, and align departmental goals for efficient execution.
- Set performance standards, monitor performance, and conduct timely performance reviews.
- Identify development needs and actively coach, mentor, and train team members.
- Design action plans to address improvement areas based on employee engagement and guest satisfaction feedback.
- Promote fair treatment and open communication practices.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting procedures.
- Share information effectively (in person, email, phone, written communication).
- Analyze information, evaluate outcomes, and make sound decisions to solve problems.
- Drive effective departmental communication through logs and department/property meetings.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage or a related professional area
- Proven background in luxury hotels in Spain
- Spanish and English required
- Strong operational mindset, service leadership, and people management skills
- Financial understanding and discipline in budget-based decision making
- High standards, integrity, and the ability to lead by example
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and align teams
