Offer description

We are seeking an experienced SCCM Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment, ensuring smooth software distribution, patch management, and system updates across the enterprise.

Duties

  • Manage and maintain the SCCM infrastructure, ensuring efficient deployment, configuration, and patch management.
  • Develop, test, and implement software packages, updates, and patches through SCCM.
  • Monitor and optimize SCCM server performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Design, implement, and manage SCCM task sequences for operating system deployment (OSD) and software distribution.
  • Perform regular health checks, troubleshooting, and tuning of SCCM systems to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Collaboration with IT and Security teams to ensure SCCM configurations meet organizational security standards.
  • Manage reporting, asset inventory, and compliance tracking within SCCM.
  • Provide technical documentation and train junior team members as necessary.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices for SCCM and related technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (3+ years for mid-level, 5+ years for senior-level) working with SCCM in a large-scale, enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in SCCM task sequences, software distribution, and patch management.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server OS.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript) for automation.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11 deployment and OS imaging.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions and integration with SCCM (e.g., Intune, Azure).
  • Experience with co-management or hybrid SCCM/Intune environments.
  • Familiarity with other management and monitoring tools (e.g., WSUS, MDT)
