As a Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, maintaining, and supporting the backbone of our global IT operations. Key Responsibilities Include
- Maintaining operational excellence by ensuring environment security, stability, and up-to-date systems
- Managing end-to-end Windows Server environments, including patches, security updates, and performance tuning
- Supporting VMware virtualization infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Overseeing critical backend infrastructure components such as storage solutions, networking, Active Directory, Azure AD, and GPOs
- Providing support for back-office financial applications, including trading platforms and fund accounting systems
- Monitoring system health through detailed statistical reports and capacity planning
- Assisting with infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle, adhering to architectural best practices
- Supporting day-to-day server management and troubleshooting escalated issues
- Collaborating with various technology teams to deliver core business initiatives
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, preferably within a financial or trading environment
- Expertise in Windows Server management, performance tuning, and security
- Strong experience with VMware virtualization environment
- Extensive knowledge of Citrix technologies, including Delivery Controller, PVS, StoreFront, and Netscaler/VPX deployments; Citrix Cloud experience is highly advantageous
- Proven experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, managing VPCs/VNets, storage, containers, and managed databases
- Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS compute environments and storage arrays like PURE
- Familiarity with SCCM or similar systems for software deployment and updates
- Strong Active Directory skills, including troubleshooting, replication, GPO management, and domain setup
- Experience with Office 365, Azure AD, and related Microsoft services
- Knowledge of security tools such as Defender ATP, Intune, and vulnerability management platforms
- Experience with infrastructure security protocols, authentication methods (SAML, Kerberos, RADIUS, MFA), and privileged access management
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and documentation skills
- Ability to support multiple global locations, work weekends/evenings, and be on call for 24/7 operations
Nice to Have
- General database administration knowledge, particularly SQL Server
- Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, Entra ID, Azure Policies, and Azure Backup/Recovery services
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Cloud Adoption Framework/Well-Architected Framework best practices
