IT Infrastructure Team Leader

StoreNext, a leading technology solutions provider serving major enterprises, is seeking an experienced, highly technical Hands-on IT Infrastructure Team Leader for a full-time position.

In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of four IT/System engineers while remaining highly technical, with approximately 70% hands-on work. You will oversee our 24x7 critical, high-availability SaaS production environments, drive operational excellence, and advance technological innovation across our on-prem and cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four IT/System engineers, fostering a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and technical innovation.
• Hands-on Administration: Personally manage, maintain, and troubleshoot virtualized infrastructures based on VMware and Hyper-V, and active data-center facilities (storage, networking, backup systems).
• Linux & Windows Management: Manage, configure, and maintain both Linux and Windows servers in high-availability environments.
• Automation & Scripting: Write and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks, system deployments, and monitoring processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Infrastructure & Cloud Projects: Lead cross-organizational infrastructure projects across on-prem server environments and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
• 24x7 Operations: Ensure maximum uptime, performance, and stability of mission-critical production environments operating 24x7, aligning with strict enterprise SLAs.
• Maintenance Plans: Develop, manage, and execute infrastructure upgrade and maintenance work plans.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Hands-on Leadership: 3+ years of experience leading/managing small IT system teams, with a strong desire to remain 70%+ hands-on.
• Linux Server Administration (Must): Deep, hands-on experience with Linux servers (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, patching, and security hardening).
• Scripting Skills (Must): Proven ability to write scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for task automation and infrastructure management.
• SaaS/24x7 Experience: Prior experience supporting a 24x7 critical production environment with high-availability requirements and enterprise-grade SLAs.
• Virtualization & OS Expertise: Broad expertise in system administration including VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Servers (installation, upgrades, maintenance, and security).
• Cloud Infrastructure: Practical experience with cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).
• Networking & Security: Strong knowledge of networking (F5 XC + BIG-IP, routing, switches) and security systems (Check Point and Fortigate firewalls, EDR, DLP, EPM, NAC).
• Microsoft SaaS Ecosystem: Proficiency with Microsoft cloud-based enterprise environments (SharePoint, O365, Teams).
